Blocklist importer problems...

After enabling and giving one of the recommended locations it never completes. Apparently downloads the list but just hangs eternally at "importing".
This automatically launches whenever I enable the plugin and doesn't allow me to select preferences to change anything. ie. some other location to get the list from. I've tried reinstalling but it retains all of the settings. I even deleted the deluge directory and this still happens.
ERG.

this is because you're selecting the wrong type. you're probably feeding deluge a 7z file, even though the faq says you cant. svn will give you a popup warning and let you change things instead of just crashing, so you might wanna use that. or wait a couple of days until we do the 0.5.7rc1 release.

I'm using the windows version of the latest release.
Well I've tried a number of times, and at least it doesn't crash when it doesn't work.
Always get an error saying "wrong file type or corrupted blocklist...". I check the settings for the file type, put in the appropriate url and it still gives an error.
I tried to put in a local directory location on my comp after dl'ing them, but it wouldn't accept my directory as valid input. Only would take url's.
Is there a way with the windows version to download the files outside deluge and then manually put them in?
Pardon my density here, but no matter what I do I can't get it to work.

Did you just give it the file location, or did you use a file URL (starting with file://). I can't remember for sure how Windows handles the drive letters (God, what a terrible idea that is), but I think its file://C|Documents%20and%20Settings/... Open a local file in Firefox and you should see the correct form in the address bar.
The other option is you can manually put your blocklist where it belongs, and make sure the box to download the blocklist every time deluge starts is unchecked. I don't know where Deluge stores config info in Windows, but find that directory and save you blocklist to blocklist.cache.
And finally, make very sure you choose the right file type.
http://www.btack.info/splist.zip is safepeer zipped, if you want something verified to work.

The file format is file:///C:/blablah/emulefiltername.dat.gz.
I've always had problems loading up the blocklist, it would lock on importing and never do anything. It still doesn't load as it should. HOWEVER, I managed to load something.
1. Used Emule Filter GZip format.
2. Used file:/// local disk format.
Plugin loaded but was stuck. Quited Deluge, the plugin didn't quit.
Reloaded Deluge, waited a bit to be sure, the plugin was loaded but was still on import step. Re-enabled plugin, closed previous plugin tab. Quited Deluge, plugin imported lists.
After one or two repetitions of the above sequence, the blocklist miraculously worked. Either it's something in my pc, or deluge needs a fix for Windows. Although I haven't heard of anyone else having problems with the blocklist in Windows, so I'm not sure if it's just me in the end.
