completed download restarts after deluge restart

[I didn't notice an existing thread on this topic. Sorry if there is]
So when I download one or several torrents and even if I let them seed for a while, when I quit Deluge and later start it again those torrents start downloading again. The data is actually there, so if I recheck it manually it starts seeding and all is fine. But if I don't and I forget to check for this it would download some part (% is random) of the torrent all over again. I guess this is related to deluge not saving torrent status on exit and it seems it did save it at some point because it doesn't start from 0%. I quit deluge the regular way from the menu or systray. Version is 0.5.9.0 (archlinux).
And another minor problem [offtopic]: when I have to select a download directory and I want to use the one I used last time if I click OK nothing happens. I have to go up one level and select that directory (so that its name would appear in the textbox) and then click OK. I suspect it could be a GNOME bug (2.22) because it should be gnome code for that selection dialog box...
p.s. <3 deluge. keep up the good work
