Deluge Tracker Status Error Torrent Download Issue

Hello All,

I am current having issues downloading torrents from public trackers. The Tracker Status Error: timed out, so torrents start downloading and the stop after a while then stay inactive.

What could be causing the issue here?

System Information

Kernel version
Linux DietPi 6.12.34+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.34-1+rpt1~bookworm (2025-06-26) aarch64 GNU/Linux

SBC model
RPi 5 Model B (aarch64)

OS DietPi


Steps to reproduce
Open Deluge
Download .torrent file
Add .torrent file to Deluge client
Click on the Torrent
Click on Torrent client Tracker tab
Tracker Status Error: timed out

Expected behaviour
Torrent should download in client

This only happen with public trackers and not private trackers

Hello,

Have you tried installing Deluge on your Desktop and doing the same thing? This way we can be sure it really is because of your setup and not your internet connection or something like that.

Also how have you installed Deluge on your RPI5 (package manager of Debian or the Ubuntu PPA? What version of Deluge is installed?
