old PC died hard.
new mother board, chip, ram, etc.
Same external HDD with deluge and torrents. Drive letter is the same. its the exact install of deluge (i'm a little surprised it ran without needing reinstall)

is there a quick way to re-add all the torrents? I know previously i was able to move %app data etc % to the new pc from an old PC but this time my old pc was toast.

if there's not anyway that's ok. maybe its time to widdle down my extensive torrent collection.

maybe the newest version of deluge has a way? i'm afraid to download and install anything new because i remember the last time i did this i needed the exact version for the torrents to propagate.

%APPDATA%/deluge contains all your config and state info.

If the paths for the data are all the same, you should just be able to straight copy it over to your new user dir and start deluge.

Make a backup of it before you start deluge for the first time just in case,

Alas, the HDD with the original APP DATA is gone.

I came up with a solution that's faster then individually adding them all over again. which i will share.

I select all the torrents. I then tell it to change the directory, i select the folder with the most data. then i tell it to re check. all the tors that have files come up as complete. i then take the rest of the incomplete list and do it again with the next folder.

thank goodness i have a fairly simple organization tree. this should only take 20-40 minutes.

feel free to add that solution to the FAQ or what have you.

I thought about moving all the file out of their individual folders and readding them all at once. but then i'd have to move them all again via deluge if i wanted to organize them again. but in theory it would work.
