I have used an older version of Deluge for years. It was slow, crashed a few times a week and then had to spend hours checking torrents again before it could resume downloading. Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version. Just installed it over the top.
It runs much faster. To delete a torrent is almost instant, it used to lag for a minute. Adding torrents is much quicker too. And there are new field headings I can sort my list by. After installing the plugin to import all torrents in a particular folder it does everything the old version does. Great!
But...
I am finding it extremely frustrating because I can't get a stable list of torrents.
Say I want to look at the torrents from only one particular torrent site, so in the left upper frame I click on tracker1.com. It does show the torrents from tracker1.com... but only for a second or two. And then as if I'd clicked on a different tracker it goes somewhere else.
Same happens if I try to sort by date added. It will allow me to find the last added torrents... for a couple of seconds, then it'll unsort itself.
In fact every kind of sorting has this instability. Whether I'm sorting all torrents by percent completion, by tracker, bringing up seeding torrents, or downloading torrents, I can't get it to hold a list steady.
So if I'm trying to select specific files to download in a torrent it's hopeless.
Say I want to download a torrent of media files, and select the files I want. I'd need to start by finding that torrent, usually by sorting on date added or by torrent site, or possibly with the filter function. I get my short list, click on the torrent, and before I have time to select or unselect files in the torrent that I wish to download or not, the program has already moved on to a different torrent at random and the list has unfiltered itself.
Is there a fix for this?
