On torrents with huge files, e.g. 20-150 GB the GUI completely freezes for 5-20 minutes upon adding such torrent.
The file storage drive is NTFS, different from the main Linux system. It is R/W for my user, so in that regard everything is probably configured correctly. The option to preallocate disk space is disabled. I have moved to the new ntfs driver, the freezes got about twice as short, but are still embarrassingly long.
Any ideas?

Hello Edward,
Is it possible to start deluge-gtk through the terminal and then add such torrents to see if you get any output.
Also could you start testing with a normal ext4 drive instead of a NTFS drive.
