Inconsistent download speeds / dropping seeds & peers.

OS: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Deluge Client/Server: 2.1.1
libtorrent: 2.0.5.0

This is a new install of Ubuntu and Deluge on a mini pc with gigabit ethernet and gigabit fiber connection. Doing a speed test on the box I'm getting 800Mbit speeds consistently.

Deluge seems to be downloading some data from peers and then my peer count drops to nothing, speeds go down, and then it'll reconnect to some peers and grab some more data, rinse & repeat. Anyone seen this kind of behavior before?

Hi,

Could you maybe test it with a different application instead of Deluge? This to be sure that it is not machine/OS related. If it is machine or OS related ( OS, lets say a setting), then you should see the same behavior.

If indeed things are much faster or something, then maybe libtorrent setting? But first is first, do the first thing and we can look further.

I'd try libtorrent 1.2.19 and see if the problem persists.

I get much better performance out of 1.2.19 than 2.0.x, and the memory mapping is pretty insane of an approach when downloading....I don't care for it. Just my opinion though.
