which version to choose?

Based on reading about select.epoll and poll here, https://jvns.ca/blog/2017/06/03/async-i ... and-epoll/ - it seems to be related to disk IO and file descriptors...which would lead me to the question of where and on what you're torrent data is on? It would seem that under normal circumstances these polls would be rather quick, and unless you were pushing massive I/O shouldn't cause dramatic bottlenecks.

Files are in the same place they were when 1.3 had no CPU issues - on RAID6 made of fairly fast 7200 disks which had no other load while the high CPU usage was observed. Also, as I said, CPU usage is observed even when deluge is idle and shouldn't be accessing disks at all. BTW when starting and stopping it a lot I noticed that initially CPU usage is low and comes up gradually in about ~30 seconds which is roughly the time it takes to announce all the torrents.
