Hello there
i am a big time Deluge user. i recently made a fresh install of Ubuntu gutsy, and installed deluge.
i always use password feature. this time i think i mistyped my password while entering the password in settings page. now i am not able to open up settings, or open up deluge once closing it to tray, as i had mistyped it.
how can i retrieve the password ????
(I think there should be a clear cut faq page on this, because once you provide some password provision, you should also provide info on how to retrieve stolen or forgotten password....)
please help...
Forgot Deluge Password...How to retrive it ?
Re: Forgot Deluge Password...How to retrive it ?
Shouldn't just removing the ~/.config/deluge dir do the job ?
edit: I mean, no, that will surely not help retrieving it, but it'll definitively break the password nag, won't it ?

there is no way to retrive it. deluge used to store it in clear text, but it doesnt do that anymore. it's encrypted. however, removing ~/.config/deluge/prefs.state will let you go back into deluge and reset it
