I love Deluge, I am a relatively new user, but I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw that there's not really an option to close the program or shutdown the PC once downloading completes.

This really needs to be added in the future version!

You might want to look into this plugin:

I have never used it myself, but your request reminded me of an "issue" I read about a little while back which was the last post in that thread:
