Deluge not adding torrents automatically from Duckietv

The subject line is a bit misleading. What's actually happening is that Deluge is being passed a torrent by DuckieTV and it restores the GTK interface (though I'm connecting DuckiTV to the daemon, if I'm not mistaken) and it presents a dialog to "Add Torrents".
I had some trouble thanks to a regression in a Python update. Once I got that sorted out, Deluge started behaving as described above. Prior to this, Deluge just picked up the torrent from DuckieTV and downloaded it as expected.
I've looked through the configs and there is no obvious way to configure that behavior. Any idea how I can fix this?
