I had a friend help install Deluge on my Ubuntu 17.04 server. It has been running great for 4 months, but I jumped on a new private tracker that doesnt allow dev builds. I would like to update my Deluge to production without screwing up any of the settings that he helped tweak. Is there a way to do this? CLI only.

The settings are in the profile of the user launching Deluge daemon. Take a backup first (profile/setup) then upgrade. If the versions are close enough it should work and the backup gives you a fallback plan
