Downloading torrents with files that have ! on name don't download

I'm trying to download a torrent that has a lot of exclamation signs(!) on the file names. Ubuntu needs them to be "!" but obviously they are not so it fails at creating the file and then says "No such file or directory" any way to fix this?

I don't think the exclamation point will be causing the issue. Please provide an example torrent.
Also you need to provide version info...

It's a Pokémon torrent. I just noticed the "é". Could that be causing it? Deluge 1.3.12

Update to 1.3.13 and try that. Yes the non-ascii char can be an issue. You will need to provide error logs if it is still occurring...

Is your local system configured with UTF8?
