Added torrents via watchdir - Daemon down

Post by HA4g3n »

Hello!

Im trying out Deluge since ive heard all positive about it so i migrated my 1100 torrents from rtorrent to Deluge via add "torrents from dir" (with settings pause when added) since you cant add several torrents at one via add torrent button.

I started to add a few torrents and everything worked fine, until i moved all my torrents (.torrent, .torrent.libtorrent_resume files) to the watch dir.
The gui went down and shows daemon is down, i had the service up for some seconds and showed me the torrents in list but then after some seconds it goes down.
I thought it needed some time to index the files so it have now been working for 24 h and the processes is still working under load

deluge-web process is working constantly at 24,9-25% CPU usage.
deluged process is working at around 4.7-25% % CPU Usage.
I killed the deluge-web and deluged process and restarted them and still the same outcome.

Is this normal andjust need "some more time"
Or is there some magic workaround? maybe kill the deluge-web so the deluged process can finish.
I don´t want Deluge to overwrite my 10TB data :p

My Hardware is Qnap with the latest firmware.
CPU: Intel® Atom™ 2.13GHz Dual-core Processor x86 4 CPU threads and deluge-web looks like useing one of those threads by 100%
Software is latest deluge with libtorrent.

Any tip is most welcome.
Thanks
Tony

I moved all files from the watchdir where the resumed files where + one .torrent file and now its empty.
all the .torrent files were moved to the "Move torrets to dir" and number is correct.
Killed processes and started deluged with still 25% cpu load and after a few min it went down to stabilized 2.9%.

Then i started the web gui with deluge-web --fork command.
Opened gui entered password and the daemon is then down again.
Thanks

Firstly "latest deluge with libtorrent" means nothing: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Cont ... nformation

For that relatively large number of torrents you will encounter performance issues with 1.3 and using the webui won't help (especially if it's still checking torrents). Connecting to daemon with Gtk UI would be better: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/UserGuide/ThinClient

Thank you for the answear.

I activated the ThinClient and am useing the deluge windows application but it still dont show any files.
I had to remove all files in both state and watchdir catalouge and add 400 files at per time via watchdir so i dont get this huge que of files.
Thanks
