ThinClient refuses to connect

I run a Deluge 1.3.3 server on Debian Wheezy which is fully functional and has been working for a year or more. It is currently downloading and seeding and I can connect through the web client and thinclients on Windows and OS X. I recently installed Debian Jessie on a new computer of mine and installed Deluge as well, but for some reason the ThinClient will not connect. It refuses to recognize that there is a server at that local. I have double and triple checked that the login information and the server IP and port are correct. The computer has Deluge 1.3.10, but I tried downgrading it and it wouldn't work as well. I am thinking it is some sort of permission error? Has anyone experienced this before?
