Hey there. Do I need to remove the previous version of Deluge before I install updates? And if so does uninstalling Deluge remove my settings and the current downloads/uploads I have going on? I looked around the FAQ and did some searching on here but couldn't find anything from recent.

Thank you!

You do not need to remove the old version. Your user data is separate from the program so updating or uninstalling has not effect on it: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Faq# ... ingsconfig

To add to that, it is always a good idea to make a backup copy of your %APPDATA/deluge folder just in case to save your torrents info and all settings.

Also, there was a bug in earlier versions of deluge where if you uninstalled it, and saved your downloaded data to the deluge install directory it would delete your downloaded data. That only affected 1 or 2 people that I have noticed.

Also, a few users (myself included) have found installing a py27 version on top of a py26 version results in the program not starting up if you don't install the py26 version first.
