Torrent Information Dissapeared / How to Backup

ISSUE
I recently started up my computer, loaded deluge, and the following information WAS missing from the torrents:
- Filename/folder changes I had previously applied to the files
- Number of kb uploaded/downloaded
- 0% Downloaded, i.e. all of them needed to be re-checked
The following information WAS NOT missing and was accurate:
- Date added
- Unique save path
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may have caused this? Perhaps an improper shut down?
QUESTION
Is there a way to back this information up so that I can restore it if the situation happens again? It's going to take me a very long time to manually rename and recheck all of the files, so I'd like to be as proactive as possible on this one.
