deluge stagnates after a while of downloading.

I am running deluge in an unraid environment as a docker, it has been working fine for some time but just recently when downloadig TV episodes via sonarr the downloads start but then gradually fall off completely, I checked the peers and they are there but no activity. Not sure what I can do to troubleshoot this.
