Blanking torrent root folder adds extra slash

Running 1.3.11 on Windows 7 with the "classic" UI. If I rename the root folder to "/" it seems to cause an error by adding another "\" into the filename. In this case I am attempting to migrate from uTorrent to Deluge and thus already have the data on my hard drive, so the steps below probably won't fit a "normal use case."
Say I have a torrent whose structure looks like this:
Derp Project/
-Episode 1.avi
The file already exists at location: C:\Videos\Episode 1.avi
Thus, I don't want Deluge to pay attention to the "Derp Project" folder. As far as I understand, the procedure should be to tell Deluge to download the torrent to "C:\Videos\" and rename the root folder of the torrent to "/" and force verification. In doing so, Deluge will give this error:
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect: C:\Videos\/Episode 1.avi
Note the double slashes before the filename.
EDIT: This also occurs when simply deleting the name of the root folder, where Deluge will automatically replace it with "/". The issue may be that Deluge is automatically adding a "\" to the end of the folder name when entering a path in the "Move Storage" dialog.
