Headless deluge not saving preferences after restart

Hi,
I'm using 1.3.10 on a Mac mini (OS X 10.10 Yosemite).
Whenever I restart the app (or the Mac mini) the preferences are reset to the default each time.
This is extremely annoying, as I use SickRage to manage and post process the downloads.
Is there anything specific I need to do, to have this working in headless mode?
(I'm using the bundled app, not the source version).
