Problems with "Checking"

Post by Digimitri »

Hey guys, I'm new here and recently switched to Deluge from uTorrent, though as the subject states, I have a problem. I've checked the forums and can't seem to find a conclusive answer to this problem. I start up Deluge, and all the torrents I have tried loading into it or try to add are stuck in a "Checking" phase, with no indication of progress. I've played around with the schedular, tried adding more trackers, turned off Auto-manage, pause them, resume them, restart the application, nothing which has any effect. I'm running the latest Deluge on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I've also tried changing the download location and running the program in administrator mode, since a few threads mentioned it mainly having issues with permissions. Can anyone help me out? :(

I did search the forum, and I'll say it again, I didn't come to anything conclusive that helped me. I see this problem going back years now, if it were merely as simple as searching the forums, wouldn't it have been fixed by now? Sorry for coming off as a little harsh, but it feels as if you didn't read my problem and merely tried to resolve it by looking at the title :|

I get tired of reading long rambling paragraphs and my time and energy is limited. There is a website someone pointed me to years ago that is relevant to the discussion: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-que ... tml#before

There is nothing new I can add that has not been covered before in the forum and because there is no known issue other than badly set permissions there is nothing to fix. You will have to debug this yourself, don't assume anything, and provide us with more concrete information on how to replicate.
