i've been getting this a lot, running deluge from a term. i would quit deluge from the UI and the term would freeze here:

removing settings...
core: shutting down session...
core shut down.

ps aux|grep deluge gives

1000      2225 10.7 15.2 266740 78500 pts/4    Sl+  Oct01 118:34 /usr/bin/python /usr/local/bin/deluge

this process requires kill -s 9 to die.
it typically happens when i leave deluge running overnight.
what can that be caused by?
