Well i just made a post earlier about the private site I belong to. They said if if use Deluge I will be banned also. Something about Deluge not getting the stats right.

Find out why it got banned.
Deluge doesn't report incorrect upload ratios.

Well, it does mess a bit the download stats though (overdownloading) for me, although others haven't seen this. I have such a problem and will post it in a new topic.

Are other clients listed here : http://www.rasterbar.com/products/libto ... jects.html allowed?

rasterbar-libtorrent does not misreport stats.
A crash of deluge could cause an under-report of upload stats because they were not sent yet at the time of the crash, but never over-report them.

Cmon, the problem isn't that bad, it has to do with about 5-10% max on the actual download, and it doesn't affect all users/systems AFAIK. It's not that tragic, but maybe enough for trigger-happy tracker admins to ban the client.

Now Deluge 0.5.8.9 is also banned an the private tracker wreckingcrew.hopto.org! The explanation of one of the admins was "deluge phones home". Is this true?

I've also checked the other clients in the provided link, all are banned! At least those which are listed in there list.

lol, no.

deluge does check for updates.
and there's an option to send anonymous information about your system (which can be disabled if you're paranoid).

but hey deluge is open source, so don't take my word for it, look at the source yourself ;)
