Manually create a tracker icon?

I have a tracker which doesn't have an icon. What are the rules for manually creating and making use of an icon? I've tried several variants of ico file but it doesn't seem to get picked up when I put it in the icons directory and restart deluged. I'm running under Windows if it matters.

I came across this old thread but it didn't help me get the icon to be picked up. http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... con#p69275

You need to use a png icon.

Hmm... A 16x16 png file didn't work. Is there more to it than that? The auto-downloaded ones are .ico, so are you saying manually added ones need to be different than auto-downloaded ones?

Oh I was wrong about needing to be png, I was thinking about when they are resized. The issue might be that you need to ensure the naming is identical to that shown in Deluge.

It is exactly what I see in Deluge plus ".ico", just like the rest of my tracker icons. :?

Specifically which directory are you using?

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Deluge\icons (this is on a Win 2003 Server).

It should work then. You should test copying and renaming an existing tracker icon to your tracker name and also test replacing an existing icon with yours.

I tried copying an existing icon to the one that didn't have an icon. That did not work. I tried replacing the icon of one "existing icon" tracker with another existing icon. That worked. I tried restoring it back to what it was. Now that "existing icon" tracker that I temporarily changed has no icon at all! :? I guess I should leave well enough alone?!
