Can't make new labels in GTK UI (Win7/8)

Hi,

I have same problem with labels. I've installed deluged and deluge-web on my home gw (Ubuntu Server 12.04.2), i can create labels in webUI, but then I click "Add label" item from context menu in Deluge-gtk on Win7_64_sp1(ru) just nothing happens. Any popup window does not appear. But it is possible to mark torrents with already existing labels, created from webUI. Does anybody knows why ?
I've tried to
  • reisntall deluge on win machine
  • restart deluged/deluge-web
  • disable labels plugin, remove /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/labels.conf and re-enable labels from deluge-gtk client
Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
Linux home-gw 3.2.0-38-generic #61-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 19 12:18:21 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
deluged: 1.3.6
deluge-web: 1.3.6
libtorrent: 0.15.10.0

Deluge version on windows is also 1.3.6 as well as libtorrent 0.15.10.0

There is no known issue with creating labels on gtk. Can you enable debug logging to see if there are any errors.

I've started deluged with debug logging: when I click on "Add label" in deluge-gtk client, just nothing happens (no events in log file). i've tried to create a label in webUI, and got following results:

[DEBUG ] 13:11:51 config:423 Saving new config file /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/label.conf.new
[DEBUG ] 13:11:52 config:436 Backing up old config file to /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/label.conf~
[DEBUG ] 13:11:52 config:444 Moving new config file /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/label.conf.new to /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/label.conf..

is it possible to log debug info from deluge-gtk client ?

I tried to do the following:

Code: Select all

gdb --args deluge-gtk.exe
Only two types of messages was displayed,

Code: Select all

[New Thread 5072.0x1028]
, and

Code: Select all

warning: while parsing target library list: not well-formed (invalid token)
I also tried to run deluge-gtk on another system (win8_x64), everything works as it should. On the system where problem exists also installed Gimp and Inkscape, could it affect the program due to some incompatibilities in GTK or anything else?

Can you clarify that it is only affecting deluge-gtk on win7? Have you tried with a new config?

Is deluge in russian on both win7 and win8? Have you tried with english, in case it's a unicode issue?

The label can only contain these chars: (a-z,A-Z,_,-) Are you using non-acsii chars?

I guess it is not related with Win7_ru, however, i will try to install deluge-gtk on another Win7 machine.
Yes, I tried new config, (removed deluge + removed deluge folder from appData), it doesn't helped.

Both on Win7 and Win8 in russian, but I tried to change locale env to en_US, the problem persists.

Please note, just nothing happens when I click on "Add label", popup window does not appear.
