Deluge Forum

Hi everyone

I'm running Deluge daemon and webui on a headless Ubuntu server; I lost the webUI password.

The python script wouldn't work (the common error most people seem to report), I couldn't identify the file to remove from ~/.config/deluge to reset all settings so in the end I :

Deleted ~/.config/deluge and recreated it.
Removed and purged deluge
Add the repo
Re-installed

The webui password still isn't 'deluge'

Can anyone help?!

Update:

With some reading, I realised the ~/.config/deluge folder didn't exist again since re-install, and found it in /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge
From that folder I deleted web.conf and web.conf~

I had to chmod 777 both /var/lib/deluge/.config and /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge to get to the folders, if that's any help.

No change. sudo restart deluge-web doesn't make any difference either.

Ah. Sorted.

STOP deluge-web

Remove web.conf

RESTART deluge-web

Works now!
