Deluge window fails to restore from taskbar

Hi all!
I just found deluge and I really like it. I have one major problem though: I have set Deluge to minimize to system tray and it has worked fine until today. When I tried to "open" Deluge from system tray today, it only opened in the task bar and the window did not show up. When clicking the task bar icon, nothing happens. If I hover over the icon, it shows a distorted preview (see the attached screenshot), but still fails to show the actual window if I click the preview. Also, I see the deluge window through Win+tab app switcher, but if I select it using the app switcher nothing happens.
When Checking and unchecking the "Show Deluge" option in the system tray menu, the task bar icon just appears and disappears respectively. I have tried killing and restarting deluge in vain. It just opens minimized to system tray. Also restarting the computer is of no use, so I am unable to access the application!
I haven't tried reinstalling yet. It might solve the problem for now, but if the problem is to reappear, re-installing every time is not a feasible solution.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any help would be much appreciated.
