Slow shutting down and high resources used

* Deluge 1.3.5 from PPA
* Libtorrent .15.9.0
* Hardware - Phenom 2 x4 with 8GB memory.

* Ubuntu 10.04
* Filesystem: EXT4
* Plugins Enabled: none
* GTK (WEB UI or Console not used)

Deluge does not shut down gracefully.
I never waited more than 5 minutes before force closing, I just assumed it was hung.

Also, when the torrents are sorted, takes very long time and the CPU spikes.
When Deluge is restarted I have to manually "force recheck" 100 torrents at a time get the torrents seeding.

Any suggestions? Uploading/downloading works fine.

You have not said how many torrents you are using.

OK, what else do you need?

With large numbers of torrents this can happen, with other users reporting the same issue of deluged not closing down.

I have not done any testing as to why this is happening but if you take a backup of your state files before force killing it, and restore them before starting that might mitigate the issue. I was speaking to johnnyg a few months ago about creating/restoring a backup state file but not sure how far along he got with that.
