fast resume not working

None of my torrents are restarting after stopping and restarting deluge. I checked the ~/.config/deluge/torrentfiles directory and it has all my torrent files renamed <torrent_name>.torrent.fastresume

I assume there's a fastresume feature. In Edit -> Preferences in the Downloads tab, I've selected the "Autoload torrent files in:" option and pointed it at ~/.config/deluge/torrentfiles. None of those files are being accessed when I start deluge. I copied the torrent files back into that directory and it seems the "Autoload..." feature deletes them and makes Deluge crash? Relevant console output:

Code: Select all

Pickling state...
Stopping DHT...
Saving fastresume data...
Quitting the core...
core: removing torrents...
core: removing settings...
core: shutting down session...
core shut down.
I can download a .torrent and it starts fine, but disappears when I restart.

Thanks in advance for your help.

fast resume is still not fixed. It's better but it does not work 100%.

Setting your Autoload directory to your torrentfiles directory is a very bad idea since that is where deluge saves a copy of the torrent file for it's state loading. This will effectively screw up your state every time you restart deluge.

Maybe thats why it's 'still messed up' for so many people, lol

My auto load directory is set to /home/blah and the torrent files directory is /home/blah/.config/deluge/torrents

Torrents are downloaded to /media/02-downloads

The fast resume worked flawlessly with the autoload up until about 2 releases ago, so this is not the problem at all.

When the problem was first reported no torrents were fast resuming. Now between 60% and 80% do depending on.

Do you happen to use compact allocation or full? and what filesystem?

Hi,

I am using Deluge o.5.9.3.

I did set my autoload and torrentfile to be the same folder (nowhere do I see any warnings about NOT setting them to the same location - a popup dialog or greying out the directory thus making them mutually exclusively would be good.) and yes, Deluge replaced ALL my .torrent files with .fastresume ones.

Now nothing is autoloading, and so my question is, are these fastresume files = torrent files? (ie. can I just rename them to .torrent and have Deluge load them up?)

Or have I lost all my originals (hundreds of them) altogether?

If the latter, I am really getting freaked out. (nothing personal here, just upset - because I dread the thought of looking for them all over.) :|
