In the examples I've seen, proxies are typed 1, 2, 3, etc. Where can I find a list of types? For extra points, where can I find other useful information about entries in the core.conf file?

You should not need to be manually editing the core.conf but the gtkui shows all the preferences that are available.

Can you just assume I have a good reason for understanding the entries and humor me? Normally it's possible to find out what otherwise-cryptic entries in configuration files represent, but I've searched the Deluge site DILIGENTLY and am unable to locate this information.

I specifically want to know the details of the proxy entries. Where can I find out what these entries MEAN?

More specifically, is a dotted quad satisfactory for hostname: ? And finally, the port numbers are already filled in as 8080; if a proxy is known to use a different port number, can we change THAT?
