Increasing UPLOAD speed

How to tune deluge to increase UPLOAD speed?
My system is Ubuntu server with deluge. The FTP upload shows around 100 Mbits/s but deluge upload speed never gets higher than 50 Mbits/s. There are lots of files shared in deluge and the upload speed should be more than that, I suppose. I tried tuning different settings to get this speed (it was less at first) but I can not increase it any more.
Are there any tips?

Could the problem be the hard drive(s) you're using. A lot of read operations on many different files would take more time than reading one file while uploading with FTP.

The libtorrent tuning guide might help however not all the settings are exposed by Deluge.

cache size 32768
expiry 60

sharing a lot of files makes everything slower actually, if you are building ratio build it while downloading

slot number -1 -- theory says oposite i know , this works fine while leeching only
connections -1

and keep in mind if you are using shared server whole bandwith is not dedicated to you only
