Hi,

When I choose to "Move Storage" on a torrent I'd expect that whatever directory I choose is were the files should go.

That doe NOT happen. It instead becomes the "root" folder. I'll explain.

Say I click on "Move Storage" and select: "/media/TV Shows (HD)/Psych/Season 3".

I'd expect the files to go there. But NO. They end up going to "/media/TV Shows (HD)/Psych/Season 3/Psych - Season 03 (720p)" instead.

The "Psych - Season 03 (720p)" folder was created automatically because that is the folder the user who created the torrent used.

This is very annoying. So now the files are NOT were I told them to be and no way to make them since it always will use that folder specified in the torrent for the files. Ugh!!

So can you please fix this so the files really go were you tell them to? That is ignore the directory structure information specified in the torrent when using "Move Storage".

Move storage is when you want to move all the files of a torrent to a different folder; e.g. move them into a "completed" folder.
In essence you are purely changing the torrents' root directory (not its internal structure).

What you want to do is rename the structure of the torrent which you can do via the files tab in the GTK dialog (as well as in the add torrent dialog).

They're two separate things, although I can see the confusion.

I know in the past someone was wanting something like a text based rename (rather than a tree based) which allowed you to manually enter in the full path of each file; this is probably closer to what you want.

If you rename the top level folder to simply '/' then it will move all those files to the Move Storage dir.

You can remove sub folders by deleting the whole folder name including the slash.

A few notes: There is a bug that means that files tab will display the folder structure weirdly because of the extra slash but this does not affect functionality. Also the folder structure in files tab does not always display correctly after renaming so just quickly select another torrent then go back to see the changes.

Thanks for the tip, I never noticed that. I currently have about 10 torrents showing up as "Season X" in Deluge just because I wanted to rename the root folder of a torrent so it wouldn't break my own directory structure.
