[Solved]Broken List Display (Remote GTK only)

So I have what I think is a very... random problem. I have not been able to find any other documentation on what could be causing this issue. I have setup a headless server playing host to deluged, deluge-web and deluge-gtk (for those occasional vnc sessions). The web client is absolutely fabulous but I am experiencing a small problem with the GTK clients.
I have the gtk clients in server/client mode and when i connect to a deluged on the local machines the gtk client works like a charm. When i connect to a remote deluged, however, The torrents list will not appear. I know I am connected though because all the stats along the bottom are correct (it shows the number of connections, download speed, etc. correctly).
Here is a list of the machine I have that I have tested it on.
1. Ubuntu 10.10 (x86_64): Deluge v1.3.0 (from ubuntu repositories): remote gtk displays no list
2. Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS (i686): Deluge v1.2.2 (from ubuntu repositories): remote gtk displays correctly <--this is the headless server for the rest
3. Windows 7 (x64): Deluge v1.3.1: remote gtk displays no list
I am very lucky that Deluged has such a capable web client as that has allowed me to work almost completely around it. Nonetheless it would be nice to get the gtk client running! I will definitely be hyping deluge now that I have discovered it.
