problems with group and owner permissions

Deluge is making the files and making the group 0 and the chmod 0 as well, now with my ftp account how do I delete the files I've downloaded with deluge? I've tried making a group 0 but it never worked. Also note I do not have a webserver installed just the plain ip:port. Anyone know how I can fix this? I would really like to delete files from ftp cause it's sorta a long process in deluge.
