Hello!

I have installed deluged first time yesterday and make som changes don´t know where and then the webinterface not works for exampel. Have tried to apt-get remove all files i have installed and reinstalled everything but it fells like something is left, some settings or something. How do i remove everthing and restart from scratch?

well you have not specified the OS you are using but removing the config will reset everything.

I want to reset everything and start from the beginning. Using Debian

remove this folder
~/.config/deluge/

testing installting the program later

My install of Deluge/Linux broke down and I removed it "completely", at least I thought I did. After I reinstalled it, I did not get a complete interface and it hung, so I deleted it again. I found this thread and deleted most of the config files mentioned above, except for the torrent related ones. The interface is still blank, and it now seems to churn the drive when it is run, so I presume it is just checking the torrent files.

How do I resolve this problem?

Hi, thought I'd reuse this thread, since it is a similar subject

I just installed the Deluge, a couple of days ago, and did download 3 GB, which is pretty amazing to me.

Now it doesn't download anything, at one point it even took up 96% of the memory,
and when you use 96%, nothing works, but I managed to get it solved.

OK, so I don't know why it stopped downloading, but it, I mean some, well actually everything stopped.

I might just explain all that I know, and save some headache in the end.

When I restart the program, it starts checking the torrents, which is probably normal, but,
there is one for instance, it starts to check and gets to 99.75% checked, and then it stops.

Three other downloads are just checking at 0.00%, and thats how far they get,
the rest is stated as downloading, but they are inactive, just like the rest of it.

Now, I did mess around a bit in the settings, and I might have ruined something,
since I have no knowledge about said subject whatsoever,
so I am thinking about doing the big RESET, if you know what I mean.

If someone is able to help me out with this one, it would be much appreciated,
I just would not like to delete the torrents, and I know from reading, that if I keep the "state folder",
I'll save the torrents, but my doubt is, and here is the question, lets say that I have downloaded 34%
of one torrent, and 20% of another and so forth, will I then just keep the torrents or will I also keep all that I downloaded?

Now it might seem obvious to you guys, but to me it's a doubt.

I use win 7 x64
Mini modem 3G
I've had download speeds around 150 KiB/s on the Deluge
Orbit have the same speed, but they don't do torrents.
The network meter gadget, shows speeds up to 1.200 Mbit/s

You have not mentioned what version of Deluge you are using. Many users have reported issues with 1.3.2 using all their memory on 64bit Windows 7 and 1.3.3 seems to have still not completely fixed the problems so you may wish to try 1.3.1.

The torrent state files in your config are copies of the original torrent files and what state each torrent was in. including file renames and storage locations. The actual data you have downloaded is contained in the files in your storage location so you need to keep that if you do not want to download it all again.

About the state folder, I made a backup of it in a remote location,
now I'll let Revo do the dirty job.

OK, so here's what happened:

I uninstalled the 1.3.3
Restarted the CPU
Installed the 1.3.1

Core Version: 1.3.1
libtorrent version: 0.14.12.0

I forgot to uninstall the gtk2_runtime,
but was reminded to uninstall it, so I did.

Now, the unexpected happened, Everything is the same as it were before,
Nothing has changed, All the settings are the same.

That was the bad news,

The good news is that it's actually downloading at 1.2 Mbit/s again
and All the torrents are at same percentage level as they were before

On a side note:
I think that the ISP somehow registers the amount of download that I make,
because every now and then they disconnect and then re-connect.

But at least they haven't blocked anything... yet, and hopefully never will.

So all in all, I'm satisfied with Deluge, keep up the hard work.

Any further help, tips and/or tricks are assuredly welcomed,
