hi there. it'd be nice to have a "Quick Search" plugin similar to the one in the synaptic package manager.
This would really come in handy, especially when there are many hundreds of torrents seeding in your client.

just a little input box in, say, the upper-right corner of the GUI.

what do you think?

Ctrl-F should allow you to search the torrent list.

oh wow, thanks johnnyg. so how about a plugin or preferences option to always show this hidden little search box??

still confused about how to use this function..when the sidebar is in focus, ctrl+f causes the little box to show up underneath the sidebar. typing something and subsequently pressing enter does nothing (as far as i can tell). same thing if the torrent pane is in focus, but the box appears on the right side now, and typing something then pressing enter does nothing as well.

quite an unintuitive feature from a user perspective if you ask me, firstly because it's hidden and secondly because it seems to be broken.

I see the same behaviour as dwagonfwy in GTKui on 1.3.1. There is a previous feature request here:

Should this bug report be re-opened, or should a new one be filed?
