Would it be possible for deluge to start downloading a torrent while it still is checking the files in it? E.g. if it for some reason needs to check the integrity of the the files, once it has finished checking an unfinished file it would start the torrent but only accept pieces of the files already checked (and not completed).

Also, is a force-recheck feature planned (for the times when the automatic recheck doesn't start even though the exit wasn't a clean one)?

No, that's not possible.

There is a possibility of this becoming a feature, but as far as I know libtorrent does not currently support it.
