Stuck on checking..

Im running XBMC Live, which is ubuntu 9.10.. i installed deluge using these instructions:

Everything seemed to run fine, even setup with Transdroid for android, but when i add a torrent, it gets stuck on "checking 0%". and wont move.
How do i get this to work?
