torrents get deleted

I am using 1.2.3 on karmic and am having a strange problem. everytime my system reboots or I turn it off and then back on the torrent file goes into check mode and just hangs. It doesnt check the torrent and it stays at 0.00%. I then try to readd the torrent and tries to redownload the files instead of actually checking it.
I didnt have this problem in 1.2.2
anyone else have this problem?
