When attempting to add a torrent using the console, I receive the error "This is a directory!"

Code: Select all

deluge -u console
add -p /home/<user>/Downloads/ http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.10/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent
This is a direcctory!
What am I doing wrong or is there another, proper way of adding via the console?

So, I downloaded the torrent and put it in the Downloads folder and used the add command again.

Code: Select all

add /home/<user>/Downadloads/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent
It started the torrent. :)

Should have taken some time to learn the wget command and get the torrent before asking too much of the console to download the torrent for me.

Great program!

You can create a ticket if you like; it would be pretty trivial to add url support to the console UI.

Why is that I can use the deluge-console to download and seed a single smaller file and not a large folder even though we can actually create large torrent folders and directories? When I use the 'add' command found on the attached screenshot, it will download if I am downloading a small file. But in larger files like the one shown in the picture, it will tell me 'Torrent added' but when u pull up the GUI, there is no progress as opposed to a download progress in smaller files.
