Deluge Forum

I just intalled vector linux (this is not important) and i was trying to use deluge because it was installed. I have put six torrents and i was waiting for the client to check the parts already finished, and then i see that deluge has erased all the data and started with 0 kbs. I was astonished when i have seen all the data dissapear.

I was using another client (ktorrent) for downloading the files, and i was using ubuntu 9.10. Why it has happened to me? Because now i have to start all over again, and i will have to wait at least another three weeks for downloading the same amount that i lost.

First of all, what version of deluge are you using?

Are you sure it actually checked the data? Checking 60GB would take quite awhile.

If the torrent contains folders, e.g. "folderA/fileB" and you download the torrent to the "downloads" folder, so you end up with "downloads/folderA/fileB",
then you need to point deluge to download the torrent at "downloads" and make sure the file is called "folderA/fileB", otherwise deluge won't detect the existing file and won't check it.

If you've done the above, you can try right clicking on the torrent and forcing a recheck.

Do not ever switch from one client to another, especially on a new install, without backing up your data.
