can't connect to daemon 1.2.0-RC

client and server are 1.2.0-RC1 on ubuntu 9.04 (server) and karmic beta (client)

When attempting to connect GTK client (stimpy) to daemon on another host (mule), the Connection Manager shows an X, indicating no valid connection. stdout on the server where deluged was launched shows the following:

Code: Select all

david@mule:~$ stimpy.example.com - - [18/Oct/2009 22:48:18] code 400, message Bad request syntax ('\x16\x03\x00\x00R\x01\x00\x00N\x03\x00J\xdb\xef\x92\xb7G\xacs\xa6\xdfm$0U)\x85\x8d\xd2\x10\xedDh\x80G\x01\xc7\xb4\xc05\x98\x17\xd1\x00\x00&\x009\x008\x005\x00\x16\x00\x13\x00')
I have verified that the username and password are correct. Do you want a debug log?

I can verify this.

I've tried connecting to the daemon from a windows client, and another ubuntu jaunty client, all running 1.2.0-RC. The web UI works fine, but the remote GTK refuses to connect after upgrading.

This seems to be the same phenomenon that I described in my other post.

However, I have an older version on the server (deluged) and a newer version on the client...

I believe this is fixed in svn.. We'll hopefully get RC2 out in the next few days.

I can connect fine after installing deluged which replaces deluge-core.
