2 Problems in 1.1.9 not able to add torrents and checking...

First off i did search around and found nothing on this matter so here it goes

i've been using Deluge on ubuntu for a while now after my private tracker decided to ditch Azur/Vuze so i dropped it and looking for a good replacemnet tried a couple but man fell in love with Deluge... at the time using 1.1.9

So I decided to install win7 so i figured let's use deluge also in it, set it up was a breeze install and everything went well.
Went and copied from the ubuntu install the state folder everything worked fine ( of course have to direct the torrents to the new name places as the naming of HD is different ) and started moving the storage places but i encountered a problem.

If the torrent itself is let's say and avi,.rar,.pdf that doesn't have a folder (when adding some files make a folder and some do not) it wont let me add it.

When i go in the move storage and browse the folders all the ones mentioned appear kind of transparent as in i can't have access to them..the play and open in windows so i do have access that way, it's just in deluge i can't add them.

Any suggestions?
I did try to fool deluge creating a folder to drop them so then i can move the original in to it, but that was a no go it seems it won't let me move them at all.

Second

I've had the problem of deluge rechecking files once in a while at reboot but i it has the same problem in linux and windows it only checks 2 torrents at a time so i ahve to open and close more then 40 times as i have about 140+ torrents seeding

any help on that one??

thanks ahead of time :)

What error does it give you when you try to use move storage on a file?
I'm guessing it might not like it because the same file already exists there.
You could try moving the completed file to another location, then doing move storage to your desired location, close deluge, move the completed file back to the desired location, restart deluge and hit force recheck.

As for your second problem, deluge will recheck torrents if it's not shutdown properly (this normally happens when you restart the machine - deluge doesn't get enough time to properly shutdown).
Safest way to prevent this is to manually shutdown deluge (and check it's no longer running) before restarting.

Hope that helps.

it does not give an error it just doesn't let me give it a new place all the other ones that have a folder included do, but these are downloads that do not come in a folder. when i point to the new location they just appear transparent and won't let me give them a new home.

remember all i'm doing is correcting the name of the place in the system as linux and windows put different names on the HD
linux would say: /media/FreeAgent Drive/movies/the torent name here
windows i have to correct the path so it sees it like : G:/movies/the torrent name here

As in for the second one i do let it close with a lot of time and always check in ubuntu the system monitor and now here in windows it does the same thing so it's doing it in but OS's
it only checks 2 at a time i don't mind if it checks them every time but it only checks 2 files per session so i have to close and open deluge several times to get all of them checked.

since it doesn't have a folder set it as the folder above the file, not the actual file

that's what i'm doing loki i even tried fooling deluge by creating a new empty folder so it can star DL again and then move the file but deluge wont let me assing as new place for it i'm gonna check something else maybe windows is not allowing deluge the rights/permissions to access those files.. so going to give that a try and i'll report back here.

*Update: that did not work last thing i'm gonna try is re downloading the torrent itself so when it ask me where to put it drop it in the same folder and see what happens.
ok that worked deleted the .torrent and DL the .torrent and pointed to the same location and presto. thanks for the help

*Update why didn't anyone suggest editing the torrents.state file

Out of curiosity looking to resolve the checking issue i was opening all the config or settings files i could find and well what do you know that's where the paths get saved so opened the file with notepad used find replace and replaced what i needed and problem solved.

But how about the second one?

any input as to the second problem of only checking 2 files at a time
force recheck doesn't do the trick so I pretty much have to open and close deluge after it checks 2 files and this happens in both Ubuntu and Windows maybe something in the script??

I'm also curious about the checking only two torrents per session. then you gotta close it completely and reopen it for it to check two more. is this resolved in the rc?
