In uTorrent, when downloading a torrent that does not explicitly include folders, it does not automatically wrap a torrent.

An annoying "feature" of Deluge is that torrents like that are automatically placed in a folder named after the torrent name (Well, I don't know exactly how they're named...).

This is annoying mainly because if I download an album that is 1CD (i.e., there is no need for multiple folders, as if they're used for CD01/, CD02/ dirs, etc) I can point it to download to my a certain directory in my music folder, naming it as I see fit (for example, Music/Artist/Album). However since the torrent folders that are forced aren't always named appropriately, I'm forced to rename them afterwards.

Is there any way to make it so that Deluge does not force a new torrent to use a folder unless it is explictly required? It may seem finicky but it really is something that I feel is unnecessary. If I'm unclear about this, I can explain further. Hopefully I'm overlooking some option to disable this feature.

Maybe I didn't make it clear what is happening.

Take an Example album.torrent, which reports the following data on the tracker:
Track 01.mp3
Track 02.mp3
Track 03.mp3

The behavior of two different clients is:

uTorrent will use "Example album" as a suggested directory name; If my default download dir was C:/, it would suggest C:/Example album/ as a download directory. However, the torrent files themselves are not wrapped in a folder; setting the download path to C:/ would make the files download as:
C:/Track 01.mp3
C:/Track 02.mp3
C:/Track 03.mp3

Note that when a folder IS specified on the tracker (such as having all the data in a folder marked "Album"), the same download path to C:/ would now make the files download as C:/Album/Track 01.mp3 and etc.

In Deluge, instead of showing the individual tracks as the torrent, the torrent data will already be in a folder named after the torrent, in this case showing up as the window as a folder marked "Example album". There is no option to remove this folder, however... There is no way to mimic the above and let Deluge download each track to a root directory; instead, it would download to: C:/Example album/Track 01.mp3 ; etc.

I'm using Linux so I'm only giving the Window's drives as an example. Perhaps it is a Linux thing, but I am quite certain that this is Deluge and not the torrent. I'll be trying Deluge in Windows soon in order to see if the same problem occurs.

All multi-file torrents are supposed to be in a folder.. This is just how the metadata is laid out. Perhaps uTorrent has a special feature to ignore this?

Deluge on Windows does the same.

I guess if it is conventions it really can't be helped. I'm just noting that whereas Deluge forces you to put them in a folder separate from everything else, uTorrent merely makes it a suggestion. However, with the difference between the two in adding torrent files, I guess it is rather hard to mimic that behavior.

In 1.2, you'll be able to rename the files prior to adding, so you could in theory remove the containing folder.
