Blocklist

Post by SquareBanana »

Not sure if this is in the right section. If not, please move it to the right one :-)

I used to use uTorrent with Peerguardian, but as peerguardian doesn't run on Windows 7 (have tried disabling forced driver signature checking etc.) I started looking for an alternative, and read on a forum somewhere that Deluge supports IP blocking. I therefore downloaded the latest build (1.1.9) and installed it, and then went into options and turned on 'Blocklist' in the plugins. I told it to use the first Peerguardian list, checked 'Import blocklist on startup' and clicked 'Force Download and Import'. It appeared to be downloading the list, reached 100%, and then nothing happened. I can find no further options to tell it to start blocking the IPs. At the bottom of the main window is a little padlock icon that says 'Blocked IP ranges' when I hover over it, but worryingly has the number 0 next to it. As far as I can tell, blocklist is running but blocking nothing. Am I right? If so, how so I make it start blocking?

Can provide screenshots etc. if needed.

Thanks a lot :-)

At a guess I would say you haven't specified the right type of blocklist.
You could also try running deluge with debug logging enabled and then trying the above steps.
If all else fails, link or attach the blocklist in question.
