started torrents not listed in the queue

I'm running Deluge on a on Debian Lenny backend and running the console ui on Mandriva for the front end.

When I use the console to add a torrent it starts on the backend but does not appear in the queue list. I have to stop and restart the console to see the torrent in the queue. Any ideas how I can fix this?

This is due to the signalreceiver on the UI side not receiving signals from the daemon. You need to make sure the ports aren't being blocked, but this is difficult as the signalreceiver uses a random one each time deluge starts. The real solution is to use 1.2.0-dev since it fixes this design flaw.

I don't think I want to install the development version. Can't find the 1.2 download anyway. I installed using packages from Debian Sid, that's about as experimental as I want to get.

Deluge is a beautiful application. It does what I want it to (desktop client, remote daemon) with only one minor bug, otherwise it works with no hiccups or farts. Easy to use. Nice to look at. Thanks to the devs for a job well done. :)
