Connection timed out ( Deluge 1.1.8r + Debian stable )

Post by Kwb »

Hi all, I've recently installed a debian net-inst stable and download from the debian testing rep Deluge 1.1.8...
The problem is that any torrent I put in download suddenly stops and I get that tracker error: Connection Timed Out.
I'm sure the tracker works fine 'cuz I have the same problem with other trackers...
What's wrong?
I've also tried to reset settings but without any change :(

Thanks

I had the same problem.

It seems to me that UPnP support is broken, at least in version 1.1.8 :(

My remedy was to define NAT-settings in my router (make sure your computer has a static IP-address on your home network, then set your router to forward incoming packets for a given range of ports, f.ex. 12012-12024, to your computers IP-address. That goes for both TCP and UDP).
Then I told Deluge to use those ports for incoming connections, and turned off UPnP, DHT, Peer Exchange, the works!

It worked for me, but as I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 YMMW.

Good luck
