I decided to switch from uTorrent to Deluge. I downloaded Deluge and told it where I keep my torrents and downloaded files. All my torrents instantly disappeared. They're Gone. They're not in my usual "torrents" folder. They're not in the "torrentfiles" folder that Deluge created. They don't show up on searches. I experimented a little, and tried making a text file, changing its suffix to .torrent, and putting it in my torrents folder. It disappeared after a couple of seconds and became as irretrievable as my torrents.
What the hell is going on? Please help.
(I'm running Ubuntu, by the way.)
Deluge Deleted All of My Torrents for No Reason
Re: Deluge Deleted All of My Torrents for No Reason
I'm kind of curious about this, too. Like OP, I'm also using Ubuntu. I'm using Hardy with a fresh install of Deluge 1.1.7 installed via the Deluge PPA.
I had about 20 or 25 torrents in the queue and they were running while I was at work. When I came home I checked on them, and everything was progressing nicely. After about a half hour of browsing and emailing, I went back to check on one that was nearly completed, and everything that was in my queue is gone
. The created folders are still in my download folder, but there isn't a single .torrent file anywhere in my computer. I'll have to go re-search and re-download every single one.
I should note that Deluge has been running for a solid 48 hours. Some time between when I last checked and right now, all my downloads vanished. Judging by the contents of the log file, it happened right at 3pm.
