Deluge Freezes When Running Overnight

I've consistently had the experience with Deluge that it freezes when left running overnight. It works fine for hours, but if I leave it running overnight I always find in the morning that all the torrent downloads have stopped, just frozen with download statistics appearing but not changing (and I can tell from my router that nothing is downloading). Or once Deluge had frozen and the torrents had disappeared from the download window (but reappeared on a restart of Deluge).
When this happens I have to quit and restart Deluge, sometimes several times in a row. Often the first time I restart Deluge, the download window appears blank, as if no torrents are there, and Deluge crashes immediately on restarting, having to kill the process in my System Monitor to get it to stop. Sometimes this happens over and over and Deluge won't work again until I restart my computer. When Deluge finally starts working again, it always goes through a lengthy procedure checking the partially downloaded files first.
Any ideas why Deluge would work fine for hours but then always crash eventually, within about twelve to sixteen hours?
I'm running 1.1.6, on Arch64, in Gnome.
