Ubuntu + Deluge: default behaviour

Hi all, I was hoping someone might be able to help. I have searched the FAQ and forum here, tried getting an answer on the Ubuntu forums, and done every search I could think of, but all without luck.
There are going to be quite a few of us upgrading from Ubuntu Intrepid to Jaunty Jackalope. From what I can see, the repos now include 1.1.6 rather than the 0.5.9.3 version many of us were using.
A very important factor I need to consider is whether 1.1.6 is able to resume my current torrents as they are in the older version. In other words, if I direct the new version to the same torrents and download folder should they resume downloading? I ask because when I last looked at the 1.x RCs there were problems importing existing torrents from the 0.5.x.x series. I have some very large torrents I am not yet finished with and I'd baulk if I lost them!
Does anyone know what to expect? Perhaps it would be worth making this sticky because there may be others in the same position.
